Tom Beecher - President & CEO, Cartera Commerce

As President and CEO, Tom brings over 20 years of experience building businesses that require both consumer marketing expertise and business services skills. Prior to joining Cartera Commerce, Tom was CEO of Imagitas, a marketing services company whose clients included Bank of America, JPMorgan Chase, and Home Depot. At Imagitas, Tom played a series of key roles in setting company strategy, managing relationships with key clients, and growing the company's core lines of business. As CFO at Imagitas, he led the $265MM sale of the company to Pitney-Bowes and subsequently became CEO. Early in his career, Tom was a consultant at Bain & Co., president and co-founder of a start-up, and a financial services product manager at Fleet Financial Group (subsequently acquired by Bank of America). He has an A.B. from Dartmouth College and an M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School, where he was a Baker Scholar.

David L. Andre - Founder and Chairman

An experienced entrepreneur and executive with more than twenty years experience building and growing successful Internet and technology businesses, David Andre co-founded Cartera Commerce in 2005. A recognized expert in Internet search and e-commerce, David was founding CTO of Upromise, the largest and most successful coalition loyalty program in the United States. At Upromise David was responsible for Upromise's technology platform and also managed ongoing business, technology and partner operations. Prior to Upromise, David served as VP of Engineering at Lycos (acquired by Terra Networks SA) and Direct Hit (acquired by Ask Jeeves). Prior to this, David held senior technology roles at Rational Software (acquired by IBM), Object Design (acquired by Progress Software) and Symbolics. He also served four years in the U.S. Air Force at National Security Agency. David holds a M.S.C.S. from the University of Maryland and a B.S.E.E. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Jim Douglass - Executive Vice President, Retail Advertising & Partnerships, Cartera Commerce

Jim brings more than 15 years of operations management, strategic development and financial experience with high-growth financial services and healthcare companies to Cartera. As Executive Vice President of Retail Advertising and Partnerships, Jim leads a team focused on the continued expansion of Cartera's in-store and local retail network. Jim was most recently CEO of Vesdia, a pioneer in partner marketing and merchant-funded rewards, which merged with Cartera in January, 2011. Previous to Vesdia, Jim served as CEO for Atlanta-based Visionary Systems, Inc., a provider of decision systems for credit providers and retailers. VSI was successfully sold to Trans Union in 2004. Prior to Visionary Systems, Jim served as the Executive Vice President of Corporate Development and Chief Financial Officer with CheckFree Corporation. While at CheckFree, Jim was part of the executive management team that grew the company to more than $500 million in revenue as the leading provider of electronic billing and payment services to financial institutions and portals. Prior to CheckFree, Jim served as Vice President and Corporate Controller of Medaphis Corporation, a leading provider of medical billing services and management software. Jim began his career with KPMG in the Financial Services practice.

Peter J. Kight - Co-Chairman and Managing Partner, Comvest Group

Mr. Kight is a Co-Chairman of the Comvest Group and a Managing Partner of the General Partner. Mr. Kight was previously the founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of CheckFree Corporation. Mr. Kight founded CheckFree in 1981 in his grandmother's basement. His initial vision was to provide electronic funds transfer services, but that vision expanded to services and infrastructures that enable the electronic movement and management of personal and business finances. Today, CheckFree is the leading provider of financial electronic commerce services and products, and the market leader in electronic billing and payment. CheckFree became a publicly held company in 1995, trading on NASDAQ under the symbol CKFR. The company progressively expanded its scope as the financial electronic commerce market moved forward, building and managing complementary infrastructures - bill payment, electronic funds transfer, investment services, compliance services, payment transaction software, electronic billing software, global financial transaction management capabilities - through internal development and acquisitions. In 2001, Mr. Kight was recognized as one of 10 unsung financial heroes by Money Magazine. Future Banker Magazine named him the sixth most influential personality in financial services, and he was featured in Fortune Magazine, where CheckFree's e payments functionality was named one of the "Seven Silver Bullet Technologies." Mr. Kight is a director of Akamai Technologies, Inc. and Manhattan Associates, Inc. Mr. Kight was Chairman of the Comvest Advisory Board, and has been one of the largest individual investors in Comvest II, Comvest III and Comvest Capital I and Comvest Capital II. Mr. Kight has also co-invested with Comvest in Catalyst, Allegiant, and Allied.

Jeffrey Bussgang - Flybridge Capital Partners

Jeff brings a wealth of entrepreneurial experience to Cartera Commerce. As a General Partner of Flybridge Capital Partners Jeff has worked with many new start-ups to guide them through the company launch process. Jeff has served as an executive team member of three start-ups, including Upromise, the leading U.S. coalition loyalty program, where he was co-founder, President, Chief Operating Officer and Board Director. During Jeff's three-year tenure, he helped the company raise $100 million in venture capital, acquire three million members and scale to over 200 employees.

Jeff holds a B.A. in Computer Science from Harvard University where he graduated magna cum laude and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School where he was a Baker Scholar and a Ford Scholar. Jeff is author of "Ruling the Net", a Harvard Business Review article predicting the development of Internet commerce and serves on the board of an educational non-profit, Facing History and Ourselves. Jon Chait - Partner, Dace Ventures

Jon Chait has over 25 years of experience in building high-growth technology, digital media and service companies as an investor, entrepreneur and former operating executive. Before teaming on founding Dace, Jon was a principal and partner-nominee at Pod Holding (now Pod Venture Partners) in Boston, MA and Stockholm, Sweden, investing in early-stage ICT convergence and consumer ventures. Jon was actively involved with Pod's existing investments in Peppercoin (sold to Chockstone), ServiceFactory (sold to Birdstep), Corestreet, OzVision and others. Previously he served as managing director of Garage Technology Ventures, a VC seed fund and investment bank. Jon also was CEO and founder of Reality Bytes (sold to Lightpaths), a new media entertainment publisher and leading middleware solutions provider to multimedia PC and video graphics OEM's. He earlier held engineering, marketing and management positions at Lotus Development Corp., (now IBM/Lotus). Jon currently serves on the boards of auctionPAL, LocaModa, Cartera Commerce and as board observer for EveryScape.

Les Otten - LBO Enterprises

Les has a long history in consumer loyalty and marketing. Les is formerly Vice-Chairman and Partner of the Boston Red Sox. He was the founder and CEO of American Skiing Company. American Skiing Company is one of the largest operators of alpine ski, snowboard and golf resorts in the U.S., with resorts including Sunday River, Steamboat, The Canyons and Killington. At American Skiing Company, Les launched a number of successful and innovative loyalty programs for skiers. Les is CEO of Sports Vision Technologies, the maker and distributor of the P3pro, a golf swing analyzer and golf simulator. He is current board chairman for The Jeremiah Cromwell Disabilities Center.

Carl Novotny - Venture Capital Fund of New England (VCFNE)

Carl Novotny became a General Partner of VCFNE in 2001 upon the formation of VCFNE IV, and is also a significant Limited Partner in the Fund. As one of the Managing Directors, Mr. Novotny oversees the fund's investments in all direct marketing related investments made by VCFNE in early stage companies. He currently serves as a member of the board of four VCFNE portfolio companies: Members Connect, Inc., Sound Bite Communications, NextMark, Inc., and First Equity Card Corporation. Outside of his VCFNE activities, Mr. Novotny is also a major shareholder and member of the board of directors of S&H Greenpoints, Inc. of Salem, Massachusetts and of the Affinity Marketing Group and Affinity Venture Group of Wellesley, MA.

Prior to joining VCFNE, Mr. Novotny was the founder of First USA Partners, the exclusive sales and business development arm of First USA Bank, the third largest credit card issuer in the US, now a wholly owned subsidiary of Bank One. First USA Partners was the leading independent affinity marketing company in the US during the 1990's. Mr. Novotny sold the company to Bank One in 1998. Prior to founding First USA Partners in 1990, Mr. Novotny also co-founded Trans National Financial Services, a pioneering company in the development of affinity marketing of financial services, most notable affinity credit card services and served as its COO until 1988. Mr. Novotny is active in several non-profit groups including the Philanthropic Council of Boston Children's Hospital Diagnostic Medical Center and The Boston Foundation. He received his BA degree from Rice University and his MBA from Harvard Business School."
